Do you want our HOA to be Christopher Todd Barone's private empire?

Updated: May 30, 2020

Why did Mr. Christopher T. Barone start his own management company when he has a full-time job as the HOA’s CEO? Click to view Corporation registration and Statement of information of the company, both are public records listed on the Secretary of State website https://businesssearch.sos.ca.gov/.

It doesn’t require a huge leap of logic to understand Mr. Barone was not content with being the CEO, the unofficial sixth director of the board, the conduit for all information between the board and the attorney and the management company. He did not permit the board directors to directly contact the management company or the attorney nor them to directly contact the board directors. He would chide board directors should they attempt to contact the management company or the attorney directly.

On October 31, 2019, Mr. Barone started a management company apparently so he could take over Lordon’s management role in the HOA. Thereby, Mr. Barone would have absolute control over every aspect of the HOA, operational, managerial, legal, financial and communication (the flow of information). This would put all members in the position of only hearing what Mr. Barone wanted us to hear. A situation more insidious and pervasive than that of the company we came together to kickout just eighteen months ago. And he is doing all this with our money.

Is this what we want our HOA to be, Mr. Christopher T. Barone’s private empire?
