3rd intimidation litigation against LLHOA members filed by Board President Umann & CEO Barone

Updated: Dec 22, 2019

After 4 TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) lawsuits against two LLHOA members were dismissed by court order, current Board President Mike Umann & CEO Chris Barone filed 2 new lawsuits against the same two members for defamation. What a terrible waste of LLHOA time, money and resources. The CEO's time and HOA money should be spent on maintaining LLHOA properties not filing baseless lawsuit-after-lawsuit against members which the court dismisses!

First lawsuit: LLHOA filed TRO lawsuits against member H. Cohen & C. Feraday. Both cases were dismissed by court order. (Case #5 and #6 on the lawsuits list.)

Second lawsuit: CEO Chris Barone personally filed TROs against H. Cohen & C. Feraday. Both cases were dismissed by court order on 11/26/2019. (Case #10 and #11 on the lawsuits list.)

Third lawsuit: LLHOA & Chris Barone filed lawsuits against H. Cohen & C. Feraday for defamation. (Case #20 and #21 on the lawsuits list.)

It is worth noting that as of 12/1/2019, of the seven cases that have been heard, Umann and Barone have not won a single case that they filed against LLHOA members or former employees. 22 cases are listed in the lawsuits list (at last count), they have lost 12 and won Zero, with 10 pending.

Excessive lawsuits, irresponsibly high legal bills, skyrocketed insurance premium, this self-serving squandering by Umann and Barone of LLHOA money and resources has got to stop!

Stop intimidation litigation! Stop the bullying! Umann and Barone have filed numerous lawsuits against HOA members and former employees for merely daring to question them. This bullying tactic or any other form of harassment has no place in our HOA and shall not be tolerated--Zero tolerance for bullying. Those who have employed such tactics need to be removed from office.
